Wine of Origin Stellenbosch

Two hills and a valley make up the sites for our Stellenbosch Syrah.

Karibib Vineyard
Site:
This perpetually cloud-covered vineyard is situated right at the top of its slope, nestled against a belt of fynbos.
Elevation:
295m ASL
Character:
The deep granite soils serve to enhance an already explosive vanguard of juniper, thyme, lavender, violets and white pepper.

Kaapzicht Vineyard
Site:
This rocky outcrop in the Bottelary hills overlooks the Swartland to the North and Table Mountain to the West.
Elevation:
275m ASL
Character:
The chilling breezes from False Bay, rolling across this hilltop, combined with the free-draining granitic soils, deliver an intense savoury meatiness and structure to the core of the wine.
The Firs Vineyard
Site:
This vineyard is nestled down in a cooler part of the Devon Valley.
Elevation:
140m ASL
Character:
The vines, planted in deep Oakleaf soils, lend the fruit some striking acidity, grapefruit rind elements, and pronounced white pepper notes.
